Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

LNCT has constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to ensure a safe and dignified campus for all.

Mandate

To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment and provide a redressal mechanism for complaints filed by women employees and students.

Composition

Presiding Officer (senior woman faculty), 2 faculty members, 1 employee representative, 1 NGO member working for women's welfare.

Powers

ICC has the powers of a civil court for summoning, evidence collection, and inquiry. Annual report submitted to the District Officer.

Confidentiality

Complete confidentiality maintained throughout the complaint process. Identity of the complainant, respondent, and witnesses protected.

Process

How to File a Complaint

Any woman employee or student can file a complaint with the ICC.

File Complaint

Written complaint to ICC within 3 months of the incident. ICC may extend by 3 months if circumstances justify.

Conciliation

ICC may attempt conciliation at the complainant's request before initiating inquiry. No monetary settlement allowed.

Inquiry

ICC completes inquiry within 90 days with both parties given opportunity to present their case and evidence.

Report

ICC submits report within 10 days of inquiry completion. Recommended action implemented within 60 days.
